Write The Vision Down

I recently looked at a vision board I made for myself in 2017 and I marvelled at the awesomeness of the power of visioning. Every goal item I indicated on that board has been fulfilled; I’m so thankful. As we embark on the last 92 days journey of this year 2020, I want to share a secret tool that has helped me to achieve my financial goals and my life visions. In this month’s newsletter, I will be talking about the power of ‘WRITING THE VISION DOWN’.

A vision is a picture of your future success; a vivid description of what success looks and feels like. I’m sure you’ve heard that if you want to achieve a vision, you need to write it down. It might sound a bit cliché, but it actually does work. Writing down your personal finance vision is a powerful tool that will help you visualise the future you want, clarify the goals you want to achieve, and guide your action on the next steps to take.

But merely writing down your vision is not enough. The power of visioning will only work if you are prepared to work on the financial goals you’ve written down. Simply writing a vision down and storing it away in a folder, only looking at it briefly every few weeks or months, won’t get you anywhere. Be prepared to do the work that is required to make the things you’ve written down a reality.

So what is your financial vision for the remaining months of this year? Are you looking at building your emergency savings pot? Or you thinking of clearing that credit card debt? Are you saving towards the down payment of your first home? Are you putting money aside to start a new business? I want you to visualise what you would like your financial future to look like, WRITE THEM DOWN, make them so clear that your fears become irrelevant, and start planning the steps you need to take to make the vision a reality.

Don't stop dreaming, don't stop believing, your financial future is whatever you make it, so make it a good one.
